Psyras Dreamlite, the Psychic Bard

Psyras Dreamlite, the Psychic Bard

This blog post should have been done a long time ago, however, I have finally completed another project, the second project of the year.

As stated in the title, Psyras Dreamlite is a Psychic Bard from the world of Dungeons and Dragons. She has a pink aura to detect feelings and help others feel better as time passes.

There are some photos of the parts when I am doing the build. Let’s get this going, it is something that I am proud of.

Firstly, the build always starts with the motherboard, the CPU and the RAM. For this scenario, I picked the Ryzen 5 2600. It is a 6 Core / 12 Threads processor which is good for multi-tasking and gaming at the same time. The CPU is placed in the middle of the motherboard (the shiny square part). It was also one of the parts that I got for a good deal compared to the prices outside in shops.

The motherboard I chosen is an ASRock B450m Steel Legend. It has a 6 (4+2) Phase VRam Design and it has a huge potential for upgradability. It also come with 2 M.2 Slots for expansion and 4 RAM Dimm slots to enable the user to upgrade to a maximum of 64GB of DDR4 Ram. It also has 2 additional RGB slots for the user to add more RGB on it as well.

The RAM as shown is a pair of Corsair vengeance RGB Pro 16GB CL16 3000mhz RAM. I got this for a decent deal and it runs at 3000mhz which is good as Ryzen CPUs really love high RAM Speeds due to the infinity fabric. It’s RGB and it makes for a good upgrade for the future, with 2 additional slots for an upgrade.

Next shown is the CPU, RAM and Motherboard in the case. The case of choice for this build is the Tecware Alpha M as the board, which is Micro ATX in nature. The Alpha M comes with 3 additional fans and it is quite decent for the price. The case contains 1 USB 3 port, 2 USB type 2 ports, an audio port, a power button and a reset button.

Next is the CPU Cooler, an ID-Cooling Frostflow 120mm. It is an AIO, which will help to keep the CPU cool and lower the temperature. In the same photo above, you can see that the system comes with 4 fans. Those are Tecware F1 fans which are ARGB and adjustable to the user’s preference.

The Power Supply is an FSP Hyper K 500W, supplying the electricity required for the whole PC. I also included a set of black sleeved cables with the PC as it allows for nicer aesthetics.

Last, but not least, shown in the photo is the graphics card. Zotac GTX 1660 Super Twin Fan 6GB. It is a decent graphics card for 1080p gaming and streaming and it is good for whomever who is learning how to stream.

After putting all the parts into the case, we can see that There is enough space to wire the cables and to make it look pretty. The shiny white/silvery outlook matches with the black contrast of the graphics card, RAM and cables. There are also spaces where you can place your 2.5in SSDs for display.

After the Power Supply plug was plugged in, the two photos above show a pink colour like system. It shows exactly what I envisioned Psyras to be like: a bard with a pink aura, using Psychic waves and telepathy. Whereas the RAM signifies her staff she carries, a rainbow Staff of healing.

The name Psyras Dreamlite came from the streamer herself, Psychedelic DreameRR. Psyras comes from Psychic or her first name, and Dreamlite comes from dreamer. As she seems to know me well and she knows how I felt from time to time, I decided to add telepathy to her abilities.

I thank everyone who have been reading this post so far. I hope that there will be more blog posts of the projects in the future. As the virus is still out there, I hope that everyone will continue to stay safe and take care.
